Specialist help for a family in need

Overview
A referral was received for a family with three young children, one of whom had been diagnosed with enuresis (night-time bedwetting) and was under the care of the local incontinence team. As part of the child’s treatment, Mum had to wake them throughout the night to try to use the toilet—but despite her best efforts, the bed was still soiled on most nights.
Over time, the child’s bed, mattress, and bedding had become completely unfit for use. The constant disruption to the child’s sleep was also affecting their wellbeing, as well as their school attendance and punctuality. Sadly, the other children in the household were also without suitable mattresses or bedding, and their parent simply couldn’t afford to replace them.
How Time for Bed Helped
Time for Bed stepped in to provide:
• A complete, new bed bundle (bed, mattress, bedding) for the child experiencing enuresis
• New mattresses and bedding for the other two children
• The inclusion of a waterproof mattress for the child under treatment was especially important for hygiene and comfort, helping to support their ongoing medical needs.
Outcomes
Thanks to having appropriate, comfortable beds, the children have now been able to develop healthy bedtime routines. Mum reports that there has already been a noticeable improvement in school punctuality, with the children waking up more rested and ready for the day ahead.
Mum was very appreciative and could not fault the service and the speedy delivery of the bed. Julie is very quick and helpful with referrals, and they get sorted very quickly.

Mum is very grateful to receive the beds—particularly the waterproof mattress—and she was impressed with the quick service and quality of the beds.
